Father's Day Sunday was a pretty quiet day. We slept late, had breakfast delivered from room service (which we NEVER do), and spent a lot of time in the suite. I know from experience that, especially now, me and heat don't mix in a good way. So, we took our showers, dressed and went to do some exploring around the hotel.
Our room was on the same level as the Sky Deck, and that provided us with easy access to gorgeous views. We headed down to the Cantina on the pool deck and grabbed some drinks and lunch to go. There was no way I was going to be able to sit outside and eat again, we just hung around the pool bar waiting for our order to be ready so we could run right back into the a/c.
After a full day mostly spent in the room, we headed out to the beach a little earlier than the night before - just in time to walk right into a rain storm. Yep, there's my luck rearing it's head. We stayed outside until the light sprinkles started to turn into actual rain, then we hit the hotel bar for a drink for Brian and something NA for me. No more liquor for me this trip.
We watched the storm from the room, prepared our bags and selves for leaving the next day and went to bed at a reasonable hour. Next stop, Disney, but Sunday night it was still island living.
